Girl's Night Out - For Kate

Phoebe was revitalized being in the city. It was amazing what a few weeks in New York City can do for a girl after months on an island. Phoebe was taking advantage of it and she planned on dragging Kate with her. Who knew when they'd get this opportunity again in a city that didn't sleep. Instead of dressing for clubbing, Phoebe put on her jeans and a backless top. While she loved dressing up there were times when she loved dressing down just as much.

She picked up Kate in a taxi (god was that nice to be able to use those again) and headed toward A small jazz/blues club that had live bands but they could talk, too. It was a place that Phoebe had frequented a lot when she lived in New York. As the cab pulled up to the establishment in an old brick building she grinned over at Kate. "It's down in the basement and you almost feel like you have to say a code to get in like in the 20s."

Phoebe snickered at the comment about blows, "I wouldn't expect anything less." Then her snicker turned into a full blown laugh as a thought came to her. "You wonder if hookers ever get as bored with their jobs as we do? Pun intended."

As much as she loved and had a great variety with her advice column, there were still moments of same shit, different day.

"I never get bored with a hooker's job," Kate deadpans, and then smirks. Hard. Blow jobs are the ultimate power trip, and even if Kate's just as happy (sometimes happier) to be on the bottom side of that, there are days giving up control is the last fucking thing she wants.

Like, pretty much every day with Neal right now. She still has no idea what's going on in his head. At least Sawyer gave it up in his eyes. But Neal's so good, she can't read him. Or maybe she's just too scared to try.

Phoebe laughed, "smart ass. That wasn't what I meant, but point taken."

Kate grins, drains her whiskey and pours them both another. She doesn't drink that much these days, but there's nothing to stop her tonight.

She nudges Phoebe's glass across the table to her. "To blowjobs. Giving them, and bringing the boys to their knees."

Phoebe clicked her glass against Kate's in a salute with a grin before she took a deep drink. "Amen, sister."

She realized as she said that, that Kate was an odd combination of friends with benefits and sister. (not in a Flowers in the Attic way) But Kate got her a lot more than Piper, Prue or Paige ever would. Sort of in the way that Cole got her though Kate had never seen that dark side of her.
